Problem

The README should match the reduced product scope.

It should introduce Delta as a single-user self-hosted task/calendar tracker with Google Calendar/Tasks sync, CLI access, iCal interop, and NixOS-first deployment docs. It should not preserve old launch promises around app login, multi-user accounts, reminders, PWA/offline installability, voice capture, or mobile app strategy.

Solution

State the current product scope plainly.
State non-goals plainly.
Link to self-hosting docs instead of embedding every operator step.
List required secret categories by name only, without values.
Explain the CLI at a high level and link to release/install details.
Keep version information in package metadata and release tooling, not a README version table.

Acceptance criteria

A reader can tell what Delta is and what it intentionally is not.
Removed features are absent from the launch promise.
Secrets are described without leaking values.
