Decision

Multi-user self-hosting is out of scope for the current product direction.

Delta is staying single-user-first. Removing the login flow means this issue would reintroduce the exact account, invite, session, role, and data-boundary work that was intentionally removed.

Replacement

Track the deployable shape in #187 instead: a NixOS-first, single-user self-hosted setup with API-key CLI access, SQLite, backups, and documented secrets.

Closed scope

  • Multiple app users on one instance.
  • Invites or admin/member roles.
  • Per-user authorization boundaries.
  • Account recovery flows.
  • Any hosted/SaaS framing.
